Blend Collage Free is a free photo-editing app for creating beautiful, well-designed collages. In this tool, you can access the tutorial, view your recently created or favorite collages, and tweak in-app settings. These settings range from changing your preferred output format to disabling or enabling “Show Recent collages.”
Unfortunately, for a collage-creation app, Blend Collage Free is missing a couple of features, such as collage templates and sliders for brightness and contrast. If you’re looking for more comprehensive photo editors, your best choices are Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and PicsArt Photo Editor.
Leverage the app’s tools
With Blend Collage Free, you can add images and take advantage of the app’s masking tools to blur a photo, adjust its opacity, and crop it into a heart or any shape you desire. Alternatively, you can create a contour line on a photo if the shaped cutouts don’t suit your fancy. There are clipart of various themes, as well.
Unfortunately, editing a clipart is limited to selecting a pre-set border style or customizing your own. Additionally, you can insert text and personalize it according to your preferences. For backgrounds, you have plenty of options — whether it’s using your own photo or opting for a textured, gradient, or plain backdrop. The app also includes multiple aspect ratios and photo layering options.
Finished collages can be shared, added to favorites, or applied as wallpaper. When saving a collage, the app will ask you to select between “Standard,” “High,” and “Maximum” image quality. “Standard” quality is best suited for phones, whereas if you’re uploading a collage on your blog, “High” quality is recommended. If you’re printing it for public viewing, “Maximum” quality is the best choice out of the aforementioned options.

Despite its simple functionality, Blend Collage Free is an app you should not sleep on. It includes multiple masking and background options, clipart, and shaped cutouts for your collage creation and image-editing needs. Not to mention, it comes with a tutorial to help newbies with the app. However, the lack of templates is a disadvantage to users who value efficiency in the creative process.
